Caleb's first tour of Tobago

THTI organized this excursion as a field trip for students. We prepared food and beverages for the journey, loaded them onto the bus, and set off for our first location.

  • Our first distination was Fort gamby

  • Granby was hot when we arrived, but the view was lovely nonetheless. We enjoyed ourselves greatly and took pictures. I had a wonderful time and would go back.

Breif history :- The British constructed Fort Granby in the 1760s to safeguard George Town, the initial capital of Tobago, but it was abandoned in the 1790s. Before Fort King George was built, it served as the main British fort in Tobago. With a horseshoe-shaped earthen wall and the ruins of rectangular structures, the fort has been beautifully maintained. Three structures and three canons that were relocated are noted on a French map from 1784. A gravestone honors James Clark, who passed away in 1772.

  • The second stop was Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve
The air in the Main Ridge Forest Reserve has the same cooling effect as an air conditioner. The natural vegetation and sea peak provided a stunning vantage point. We also had lunch at the facility's dining room. I had roti, which was delicious.

Tobago Main Ridge Forest Reserve

Breif Hisory :- The Main Ridge Forest Reserve in Tobago covers 3958 hectares of tropical rainforest, including lower montane, lowland, and xerophytic areas. It is home to various flora and fauna, including the rare White-tailed Sabrewing Hummingbird and the unique ocellated gecko. The reserve's unique flora and fauna have been restored since the 1963 hurricane Flora.

  • We stopped to see Parlatuvier Beach

In Tobago, there are several picturesque bays like this one.It is a beautiful bay with a horseshoe-shaped sandy beach, some brightly colored homes amidst the palm palms, a settlement on the green hill behind it, and a clear blue sea.

  • Final stop of the stop of the day was Castra Beach

We took a bath and relax ,this is a lovely little bay on the north side of the island full of local businesses.

"This trip was thrilling and wonderful for me to share with my friends. I will urge others to visit these locations, and I will undoubtedly return". Caleb Marcelle
